Promoting Healthy Eating Habits among Children: SARP’s Nutrition Awareness Initiative

Parents naturally strive to provide the best for their children, particularly when it comes to food, aiming to offer meals that are both delicious and nutritious. Ensuring that children receive fresh, healthy food is vital for supporting their growth, development, and overall well-being.

Recognizing the importance of proper nutrition, the Smallholder Agribusiness and Resilience Project (SARP) is actively working to raise awareness among beneficiaries about healthy eating practices. As part of these efforts, nutrition programs are organized with the active participation of parents, teachers, and school communities. These programs highlight the value of balanced diets and promote healthy lifestyles for children.

Through these initiatives, participants gain valuable knowledge about maintaining good nutrition, including the adoption of structured weekly meal plans to encourage healthier eating habits. Organized by the Social Inclusion and Gender team, these programs aim to foster a lasting culture of health and wellness among families across the project areas.
